At Chiltern Open Air Museum, we welcome group visits from clubs, societies or organisations such as U3A, WI, Brownies, Scouts, or any group of 15 people or more. Our Museum offers an engaging and educational experience suitable for visitors of all ages and backgrounds. Through interactive exhibits and immersive activities, visitors can delve into the history and heritage of the Chiltern region.

Guided Tours and Activities
In addition to our regular exhibits, we offer guided tours and workshops that can be tailored to suit the interests of your group. These experiences provide a deeper insight into the history and heritage preserved at the Museum.
Catering for Groups
Our on-site café can provide refreshments and light lunches for visitors. Advanced booking is advised for large groups so please get in touch to discuss requirements.
Coming by Coach or Minibus
Our large car park has spaces for coaches and minibuses. We recommend letting us know in advance so we can ensure space is available.
Admission Prices
Adult group rate: £11.50* per person on standard admission days | £15* per person on premium admission days. **When booked at least 48 hours in advance
Children’s uniformed groups (Scouts, Brownies, Guides, Cadets etc): £9.50 each
Tour guides: £40 (max of 16 people per tour) a tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. **A tour must be booked at least 2 weeks before your visit.
Catering packages, heritage crafts workshops or guided photography walks are available for pre-booked groups - contact us for details.
* The Museum is a charity and all admission prices include a voluntary donation of 10%. If you are a UK taxpayer please tell our ticket officer that you are happy for the Museum to claim Gift Aid on your admission. Gift Aid donations to the Museum allow us to claim an extra 25% from the government on the total amount that you pay to us, at no extra cost to you.
Accessibility
At Chiltern Open Air Museum we have been making lots of changes to make our museum as accessible as possible. We are a large outdoor museum with a collection of 37 historic buildings, some of which, due to their size and historic nature, are not completely accessible. We try to ensure that our buildings can be enjoyed by all of our visitors and where possible we provide ramps into our buildings. Disabled visitors have designated spaces close to the Museum entrance and we have accessible toilets.

English as a Foreign Language Groups
The Museum provides an excellent cultural experience for those learning English. With its combination of historic buildings and traditional gardens, there is something to interest and inspire all visitors irrespective of language ability.
The Museum’s app provides information about its buildings and many of the objects in its collection. The app can be displayed in many different languages, enabling visitors to make the most of their visit.

Combine a group visit to the museum with a special social event. Hold your society celebration or meeting in one of the historic buildings, then explore the Museum’s heritage buildings and gardens as a group.
How to get here
We are close to several main routes and can be reached from the M25 at Junction 17. Follow the brown tourist signs to the Museum via Denham Way and Chalfont Road.
The Museum is also signposted from the A413 at Chalfont St Peter and Chalfont St Giles.
Look out for the Comer Homes Newland Park Development signs and we’re on the left down the main driveway. We have a large car park with dedicated disabled parking.
By car
The Chiltern Line from Marylebone or the Metropolitan Line from Baker Street to Chalfont & Latimer Station or Chorleywood Station are within short taxi rides of the Museum.

There are no buses to Newland Park. The nearest bus stop in Chalfont St Giles, around 30 minutes walk away, is on the A30, and 353 routes.
By Bus
Advice for Coach Drivers
The Museum is in a rural setting and approaches down country lanes. The lane to the museum from the Maple Cross direction is particularly narrow. We recommend that coaches approach the Museum from Chalfont St Peter. Turn off the A413 at the Waggon and Horses Pub, and then drive up Chesham Lane to Gorelands Lane.
