The Longest Yarn: A 60-Metre Tribute to Victory in Europe Day
Every day throughout August you can experience The Longest Yarn, a 60-metre-long knitted and crocheted artwork commemorating Victory in Europe (VE) Day. This intricate 3D exhibition, handcrafted by skilled artisans, brings to life the stories, resilience, and triumph of a historic moment. Each display is a replica of a VE day moment captured on camera.
Set against the backdrop of COAM, this immersive installation invites visitors to step back in time and reflect on the spirit of unity and hope that defined the end of World War II in Europe.
